As you can see by the title, this photo gallery was a little reflection of my life with my former employer InsideBayArea.com and ANG Newspapers. IBA is the online partner of ANG Newspapers, which stands for Alameda News Group. ANG consists of the Oakland Tribune, Daily Review (Hayward), The Argus (Fremont), Tri-Valley Herald, and the San Mateo Co. Times. IBA brings them all together into one cohesive web site offering news from literally all sides of the San Francisco Bay. They recently purchased the Contra Costa Times and the San Jose Mercury News, which means the ANG footprint is even larger and where they go as a company is still very much in the air.
I personally worked out of our Oakland Tribune offices which were located in the beautiful and historic Tribune Tower in downtown Oakland. The latest I heard after leaving was the Tribune moved into some offices near the Oakland Coliseum and the Tribune Tower now sits empty. And while I've moved on to bigger and better things here in DC, I'm still freelancing with ANG to date and work closely with the San Jose Mercury News.
