Personal Photography - Drag Races 2007

The following gallery represents one of more wild events in Washington, DC. Each year just around Halloween, the drag queen community in the district holds a race. The race is known around the city as "The Drag Races." And as you can see from the above images, it's quite literally a bunch of drag queens racing down the street. But as any resident of this great city knows, you have to witness this spectacle at-least once. So myself, Matt, Patrick and a few other friends braved the obscenely large crowds along 16th Street in Dupont Circle for this yearly look at gender-curiosity.

Please forgive the poor quality of the photos. We had to cram ourselves into the crowds and all I could do was guess the light setting and hold the camera in the air. But the point of this gallery isn't to showcase great photography but to highlight some of the zaniness of living in DC.
