This year I celebrated July 4th in style with a good ole' fashioned BBQ with friends. The party was held right here in our courtyard in downtown Oakland. Tons of friends got together to eat, drink and be merry on our Independence Day. The party got interesting as the day went on and drinks went down. There was a marshmellow spitting contest, a conga line and lost drunk people in bedrooms. But the day concluded with a spot on the roof of our building to watch almost every fireworks show from Oakland to SF to Berkeley to Sausalito.
